Lakeside Lodge is a family owed and operated business purchased in 1958 by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wright, along with Mrs. Wright's sister and brother-in-law. In 1959 Lakeside Lodge was opened for business and in 1960 the Wright's took sole ownership of the property. When the property was purchased by the Wrights, the main lodge and garage were present. The lodge was built in approximately 1928. There were five bedrooms upstairs in the lodge that had been rented out by the previous owners. There was no paint on the outside of the lodge and the inside needed new kitchen cabinets, paint, and new flooring in the kitchen. There was also one cabin on the premises, which would become known as Lakeview. It was much smaller than the current cabin, which was expanded in 1971. There was also an ice house behind the lodge next to the garage The ice house was converted to a one bedroom cabin, which is now known as Tree Top.

The Wrights decided to add a third cabin, Springvalley, on the property. Mr. Wright began construction on Springvalley in 1963, however he was never able to finish his project due to his untimely death in 1964. Only the cabin's foundation and stringers were completed and it remained like that for several years. Mrs. Wright continued to operate Lakeside Lodge during the summer by herself while working as a full time teacher and raising three young children. In 1970 construction on Springvalley was completed by a Technology Teacher from Rochester, NY who spent his summer vacations with his family in a cabin he built on Limekiln Lake.

Until a few years ago, the five
bedrooms in the main lodge were rented out along with the three cabins. In 2006, Tree Top was remodeled to add a second bedroom and have the living area expanded.

Over the past 50 years Mrs. Wright has met many individuals from all around the country. Lakeside Lodge has become a place where individuals and families come back to visit year after year. Even people who no longer vacation at Lakeside Lodge do come back to visit with Mrs. Wright and reminisce about their stays at the lodge.  She has made Lakeside Lodge into a successful business with a homey atmosphere for her guests.  All of the quilts in the bedrooms and cabins were handmade by Mrs. Wright and her mother. If you have visited Lakeside Lodge you will also notice several braided rugs throughout the lodge and cabins that were also handmade by Mrs. Wright.

Today with the help of her three children; Doug, Marcia, Rick and their families, Mrs. Wright continues to operate Lakeside Lodge.
